Still clinging to my “percentage” logic, I found a note in my school typing folder: You are either 100% or 0% saved. There’s no in-between. My friend had written it.
I began crying out to God for assurance—but felt nothing.
Then another note showed up: “Are you saved—yes or no?”
I brought my Bible to class during reading period. There, in the back pages of my Gideon Bible, I reread those verses—Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, and also:
“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation?” (Hebrews 2:3)
Right there in class, I broke down in tears. I didn’t care who saw. That was the moment Christ saved me.
My self-willed efforts were nothing compared to God’s grace. Jesus Christ became the atonement for my sins—and eternity with Him is now my reality.
I can now pray freely and joyfully. I’m eager to share my story. The Bible has come alive to me. His truth brings me joy and peace.
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
Thank you for reading my story.
Maybe you want a story, too…
